Sulphur – Brimstone
Sulphur has a strong affinity for the skin, mucous membranes, digestive system, circulation, and nervous system, especially chronic conditions with burning pains, itching eruptions, and uncleanliness from suppressed discharges or toxicity.
Like the mineral remedies for deep constitutional imbalance, the Sulphur individual is often intellectual yet messy, disorganised, and selfish, with a hot, sweaty constitution; they feel worse from heat or bathing, crave sweets or spicy food, and may neglect personal hygiene while philosophising grandly.
Physically there may be dry, scaly, itchy skin eruptions that burn and worsen at night or from warmth, hemorrhoids with burning, chronic diarrhea or constipation alternating, or hot flushes; every little injury suppurates. Think of Sulphur for eczema or psoriasis worse washing, chronic acne, burning diarrhea driving out of bed, or slow recovery after illness with relapses.
