Magnesia Phosphorica – Phosphate of Magnesia
Mag-phos. has a strong affinity for nerves, muscles, and cramps, especially sudden, darting, neuralgic pains relieved by warmth and pressure, along with digestive colic, headaches, and spasmodic conditions.
Like the Magnesium remedies, the Mag-phos. individual is often nervous, sensitive to cold, and prone to irritability or excitability under stress, needing warmth and reassurance to feel calm. There is a focus on sudden-onset issues from chilling or overexertion, with a restless, fidgety disposition.
Physically there may be muscle cramps, neuralgic pains like lightning strikes, colic with doubling up, or menstrual cramps; headaches from right side or temples. Think of Mag-phos. for leg cramps at night, abdominal colic in children better from rubbing and heat, writer’s cramp, or toothache with shooting pains.
