Allium Cepa – Red Onion
Just as cutting an onion can bring on watery eyes and a tingling nose, Allium Cepa can be used to resolve these same symptoms.
With an affinity for the mucous membranes, Allium Cepa is one of the first remedies to turn to during hay-fever season when the patient is suffering from painful, burning eyes and stinging nasal discharge. This is a remedy of copious watery discharges; while the nasal discharges are excoriating, those from the eyes are bland.
The head feels heavy and the mind is dulled. There is a sensation of fullness and swelling in the nose, with frequent sneezing.
Symptoms will be worse in a warm room and better in cool open air.
