THE HUMAN AURA: GROUNDED vs UNGROUNDED PERSON

This is a pictorial illustration of what you look like when your Astral body is locked into your physical form.  Illustration by Kamal Wadia

Every living human has an energy field around them- called aura. Other living things, such as trees, flowers, or animals, can also have an energy field. The human aura has 7 interrelated layers or auric bodies. The Astral body is the 4th layer of the 7 layers of the auric field- holding the inner 3 and the outer 3 auric bodies. The Astral body is energy-wise, posited within our physical body.  It is supposed to stay inside our body during our waking hours.  The Astral body is connected entirely to your ‘emotional’ body and it is brightly colored.  It is the ONLY element of the entire aura that can slip out of the top of your head.  It has a twofold “job” that it does for us.  First, at night, when you go to bed, it slips out of your crown chakra at the top of your head.  There is a silver cord attached to it and to your physical body, the Astral body looking much like a balloon with a string attached to it.   The next morning, it glides back into your body and awakens us.

An individual is termed a grounded person when his/her Astral body remains “locked in” to their physical body all the time. Such individuals have the following characters …

  • they are healthy, firm during a crisis and bounce back from most traumas
  • they feel their emotions fully, and are self-aware
  • they navigate confidently through their lives, they complete projects, and achieve their goals.
  • they are guided by an inherent moral compass (the heart), are truthful, honest, and humble.
  • they are upright and forthright, with a healthy self-esteem, are non-judgmental, clear minded, focused and they believe in themselves.

The Astral body’s second important function is that its energy works with your EMOTIONS.  All of them.  That is what makes it so colorful looking in your aura, your emotions.  There are seven layers or fields of energy, surrounding the human body that make up your aura.  It is egg shaped and we are completely enclosed in the aura beneath our feet, surrounding your entire body and over the top of our head.  The Astral body is the only energy that can be released from within our physical body, and it is because of its two-fold duty/ tasks it performs every twenty-four hours with us.

First duty: Astral body of most individuals hover in the room above where you are sleeping. Some advanced souls have their Astral body extending inter-dimensionally, being a source of help and support in many ways.  Sometimes you will get a “dream” where you go somewhere and you remember it when you wake up.  The Astral body is our dreaming body.

Second duty:  The Astral body is your energy storage for all your emotions, and they must be worked through.  It handles all emotions from your darkest to your lightest.  A clairvoyant individual can easily perceive the Astral field of the aura of another individual changing its colors by the moment, and depending on their moods.   If someone is angry?  Then you will see red blotches in some of their aura fields.  If you are in a full rage, you will see black, muddy looking patches or spots along with a dirty and opaque red color.  If you are happy?  The colors are pastel green, blue, violet, pale orange, and pink are pleasing to the eyes and are a measure of calmness in that human being at that time.  If you are happy, the colors are bright, much like a rainbow you would see after a storm, they sparkle, twinkle and swirl.  They are always light to medium colored and bright, clean looking colors swirling like clouds circulating through the egg shaped aura.  If you are sad, the colors can be “grayed out,” or colors are dull looking, sometimes very “lifeless” looking in comparison to someone who is happy.  Depression consists of colors that are almost bleached out of their normal/natural color.  And these can be found in a particular field or in “patches” that include two or more energy fields.

The above is a very quick thumbnail sketch of our aura, especially the Astral Body and the Astral Field.

When your Astral body is not completely lodged or locked or aligned alongside your physical body, is when we call such individuals as ungrounded, they display qualities like …

  • unable to organize your life, and your home, and your office space
  • are always messy
  • are not disciplined and unable to finish what you start
  • referred to as “spacy,” forgetful, or a “space cadet,” unable to focus
  • easily distracted, may feel anxious, over emotionally dramatic, and excitable
  • super sensitive to other people’s emotions and auric energies that trigger or exacerbate your anxiety
  • feeling mentally, emotionally, physically, or spiritually drained after meeting people or after healing others
  • suffering from inflammation, poor sleep, chronic pain, fatigue, or poor circulation

CAUSES FOR ASTRAL BODY TO BE DISLODGED,HANGING OUT

Trauma, Shock & Fear is what causes the Astral body to be dislodged and slide out of the top of the individual’s crown chakra.  It looks like a semi-deflated balloon waving slowly to invisible energy winds.  Or it can be six inches to a foot, sometimes more, outside your body.  Because the Astral Body is our emotions, PAIN is the number one reason why it wants to “escape” during your daylight hours when you are awake.  Why?  Because the Astral body relays our emotions, it FEELS THE SAME PAIN YOU ARE FEELING, whether it’s physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual, it is all felt by the Astral Body.   And this is WHY it wants to escape from inside your physical body – to get relief from feeling the constant pain.  If it moves OUT of the physical form, it finds RELIEF from the PAIN.  It is escaping out the top of your head because it cannot stand the PAIN you are carrying internally.

Here are examples when the Astral body escapes out of the body:  a woman who has been incested or raped will have her Astral body usually half way out of her physical body, the pain is so great that the Astral body want to escape feeling like that, too;  a child loses a parent to death or divorce;  an abusive father who strikes his child; an abusive husband who physically/mentally/emotionally abuses his wife and or children;  situations of war ;   a child given up for adoption;  an auto accident where someone almost dies, or a passenger(s) dies; any addiction (alcohol, drugs, prescription drugs) are the result of the Astral body being out of the physical body, wanting to escape the pain an addicted person carries in memory and their emotions.   Trauma is different for every human being. Some people are more resilient and others are not.  The less resilient ones suffer the most. Their Astral Body wants to escape the pain being held within the human body and their aura and their Astral field of energy.

FEAR is the great blockade to a person’s life and how little or much they are able to live their life and meet the plan they had for it.  Any fear you have? It stops us from evolving/growing/maturing/and worst of all, completing our plan for this incarnation….meaning you have to come back AGAIN to redo it until you complete this educational process.  FEAR is the number one reason for so many issues having to do with our life “down here” on Mother Earth.  Fear of failure.  Fear of living.  Fear of dying.  Fear of snakes.  Fear of getting hit by your father as a child growing up and you learn to fear all men as a consequence.  Fear of non-acceptance by family, people you work with – low self-esteem the result.  Fear of speaking.  Fear of being yourself, not what others told you to be instead.  So many things make a human fearful.

Ideally, in each incarnation (lifetime in body here on Mother Earth), the Astral body stays locked in, in the body and does not want to escape daily.  However, depending upon the reason for the incarnation, the characteristics and personality taken on by a soul for this 3D (third dimensional) lifetime, in order to learn and be educated, the Astral body wants to flee its host due to pain and suffering. This slows down the learning and educational process.

THE OUTCOME OF AN UNLOCKED, REBELLIOUS ASTRAL BODY TO US:

The Astral body remains unlocked when it is not trained to REMAIN in your physical body, regardless of the trauma, shock that you have experienced.   This unlocking of the Astral body disallows you to  fulfill  the learning and purpose of the  incarnation.  You will not finish the lessons that you have come to learn in this lifetime. Secondly, the human is supposed to go through the suffering in order to learn from it, but also to HEAL THEMSELVES from the trauma/shock, too.  That is the “job” of the soul in this lifetime to do just that.  And with the  Astral body not wanting to deal with that kind of ongoing pain, it jerks out of the body to escape those painful, suffering emotional feelings.  So, it’s not helping the soul/human incarnation in learning through the shock/trauma, and that means the soul has to come back again (sometimes many times over) to learn this lesson.  The Astral body is sentient as is our physical body.  The Astral body has choices.  And it is supposed to OBEY the soul who is in the physical body…but sometimes, it will not obey. The individual must be the skipper of his/her ship and order the Astral body to remain locked into your physical feet and deal with it.

I usually see younger souls who have this issue.  However, it can happen to any soul, mature one, or an old soul.  Trauma/shock can never be underrated as a cause of this Astral escaping condition.  It can happen to anyone.  And this is WHY you would want to RETRAIN your ASTRAL BODY to stay in your physical form.

TECHNIQUE FOR GROUNDING

LOCKING YOUR ASTRAL BODY BACK INTO YOUR PHYSICAL BODY

Happily, there is a way to retrain your Astral body and it finally learns to obey you and stay put within your physical form.  I was taught this grounding technique by my gem and crystal healing medicine woman teacher, Oh Shinnah Fast Wolf.  My Western Cherokee medicine man teacher sent me to her for training. I am sharing this technique with you all.  May it also help you.

Step 1: Find a quiet room where you will not be disturbed for at least 15-20 minutes.  Take the phone off the hook, switch off your mobile phone. If need be, put up a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign.  Take your shoes off – you can lie down with your legs straight, or lie down with your knees flexed, or sit on your meditation chair, or sit comfortably somewhere that helps you relax

Step 2: Close your eyes. Do not have your hands or legs or ankles ‘crossed’.  If sitting, put feet (preferably bare foot) flat against the floor.  Take a deep breath into your nostrils and down into the abdomen.  Release the breath slowly through your mouth.  Do this three times in a row

Step 3:   Visualize yourself where you are lying down or sitting.  If you can’t visualize clearly, then imagine it the best you can – don’t struggle with this part of it

Step 4: See the “lid” of the head/crown chakra opening fully. Imagine or visualize your astral body (which is rainbow- colorful) hanging about twelve inches above your head.  You will see your astral body head or if you want, your neck and/or your shoulders

Step 5: Move your astral body slowly up and out of the top of your head until your astral ‘feet’ are hovering about six inches above your physical head and crown chakra

Step 6:   Then, slowly with the force of your will power see (and some will actually feel this happening) the astral body slides back into your physical body.  You will see the feet slide down through the opening in the top of your head and down across your face and possibly your chest as it comes back in

Step 7: Continue to visualize the astral feet traveling downward past your chest, your waist, your hips, down through your thighs, past your knees, into your calves until finally, the astral feet ‘lock’ into place with your physical feet.  Imagine a ‘locking in’ or “docking” kind of sensation where there are invisible latches on the astral feet wrapping around and strapping in to your physical feet

Step 8 : As your astral feet lock into your physical feet, the rest of your astral body is already locking into place with your hands, arms, fingers and rest of your body. The astral body is evenly lodged around (locked around) our physical body and extending around 8-12 inches from the body

Step 9: At the top of your head, imagine that there is a circular ‘lid’ that is open and has allowed your astral body to slip back in fully and completely to your physical body.  See this ‘lid’ slowly shut and close tightly and securely over the top of your head. The “lid” may close fully after it is within your body—or it may not…it will open and close with the energy coming into yourself from your crown chakra.  Or, coming up through your body from energy currents sent from Mother Earth and moving upward toward, coming out the crown chakra and continuing to move upward.  This is completely normal.  And no, your Astral body will not try to escape because the “lid” is opening and closing all the time.

Step 10:  Now inhale through your nose and out your mouth slowly, three times.  After that, open your eyes and allow them to adjust to the “here and now” of our 3D reality.  You may have felt a little different or even heavier as the Astral body returned to your physical body.  Some people feel nothing.  Either is appropriate.  Your entire physical body and auric fields are adjusted now.  Your Astral body is now in perfect alignment with your physical shell.  Give yourself a few minutes to adjust to this new energy feeling and sensation.  When you are ready, stand up or sit up.  Take your time, it may feel “different” at first, so give your physical and Astral body a chance to adjust to the new situation.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I VISUALIZE MY ASTRAL BODY GOING INTO MY PHYSICAL BODY?

My mother, when she first tried this technique, could feel her Astral locking into her physical body.  She would rest a moment, and then slowly stand up from the chair.  She felt heavier, especially in the lower legs and feet for about five minutes, and then the sensation would go away.  However, she would get busy and fifteen minutes later, she felt her Astral body pop out of her head.  Usually, it is a slight, almost unnoticeable feeling.  I told her that every time she felt that happen, to stop what she was doing if possible (if you are driving a car do the visualization AFTER you get home).  She had to go through the process again.

I have seen people, the first five days, having to re-do the visualization twenty to thirty times because the Astral body is having a “temper tantrum”. You must train the Astral body not to just escape your body when IT wants to.  It is like training a two-year-old, in other words, who wants his or her way and she/he cannot have it.  So, patiently, you visualize again…and again…until it remains within you. Do not get angry or upset with your Astral body…it is learning an important lesson here, too. Without it being fully at your service in your body, you cannot complete what you came into this lifetime for.  So, it is a very serious matter and an important one.  Just be patient.

Look at this from another perspective:  As you REFRESH the memory of the neural pathways of your body, your Astral body is being instructed to do something different from what it is familiar with.  An Astral body is like a dog.  It can be retrained by being loving, patient, and using gentle discipline with it.  Although it is painful to feel this for the Astral body, you cannot begin the healing journey as a soul in this lifetime, without its help and support.  The Astral body has “to heel” and do what you ask of it.  Period.  Be firm, but loving, especially in the first two weeks.  It takes most people up to a month to retrain their Astral, so be kind, patient and gentle with yourself and it.  The rewards are for the rest of your life and very worth it.

WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO BE IN MY BODY?

When you are fully seated into your physical form, you will know it because you have a different “sense” of solidity.  You will be able to feel all your body, your movements, your breath, and your emotions with far more self-awareness than you ever had before.  You will be able to concentrate and not be easily distracted any more, complete projects, and remember things you were going to do. Your mind will be sharp, clear, focused and fully connected to your emotions every moment.  This is how it feels to be ‘grounded’ into your body.

Instead of living half a life, you will start living a WHOLE life.  Your food and wine or bitters, will taste better.  The air, the rain, the snow, the wind will all be sharper, clarified, to your sense of smell.  You will feel the warmth of the sun so much better.  The colors of the world around you will be crisper, brighter and you may feel like you went from a “gray” landscape to a vibrant, colorful one before your very eyes.  You are now like a TREE….with the Astral body at home, finally and fully and forever in your body, the ROOTS of energy with it locked in, creates new and wonderful energetic roots from the soles of your feet, deep, deep, deep into Mother Earth, where she can FEED YOU HER ENERGY whereas before, She could not.  Without those energy roots being present via the Astral body, you are not receiving fifty-percent of the daily prana energy that you are allowed to have.  You may well feel more energy during the day, and sleep more deeply, without interruptions, at night, too.  You may also get colorful dreams (instead of black and white ones) more often, also.  Having your Astral body “home” in you is a huge step forward in your own soul progress.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I DO THIS GROUNDING EXERCISE?

Whenever you feel your Astral body leave your physical body, then, the moment you get the opportunity, stop what you are doing and repeat the grounding exercise.  It usually takes 30-60 days for the Astral body to stop it’s pouting and temper tantrums and give up, and remain in your body.  You will get so you know if or when your Astral body starts leaving.  When do you feel it?  Then, redo the grounding technique.

Over time, it will remain locked in during your waking hours.  At night, it will slip out, as it is supposed to, and return to your body the next morning, minutes before you wake up. And if your Astral body remains “a good child,” and does as it is being asked to do?  Then chances are you will not need to do the Grounding Technique at all in the future.

A time when you may want to do the Grounding Exercise, is after suffering a shock, a trauma, or a fear that really shakes you up.  Take time out to do the Grounding Technique.  Once the Astral body is “compliant,” it will usually behave like it is supposed to.  Just be patient with yourself and the process and over time it will work.  And you will see the difference it can make.

HOW TO GROUND YOURSELF OUT IN NATURE

Grounding one’s self out in Nature is a bit different from doing it indoors, at work or home.  When outdoors, sit or stand, and then close your eyes.  If standing, “soften” your knees by slightly unlocking them.  Take three deep breaths, as before in the nose and out the mouth.   In my book, WALKING THE LAND by Eileen Nauman, I go through this land grounding exercise which is the same as being out in Nature.

Once relaxed?  Visualize two beautiful silver tree roots gently wrapping one or two times around each of your ankles.  They will twine gently, they will not be tight or uncomfortable, rather, a gentle warmth as the root twines around each of your ankles.  See the “tip” of the root move down THROUGH THE CENTER OF EACH FOOT AND DEEP INTO THE EARTH.   This will not cause you any discomfort or pain.  Visualize those beautiful silver roots moving down, down, down into the earth.  I make sure when I’m walking the land, I ground first and send my silver roots a minimum of a hundred feet downward into Mom Earth.  This way, I am REALLY ROOTED and ready to deal with the energies that I meet along my path.  You should do this grounding when you walk in the park with your dog or your loved one, when you hike, or you are on a backwoods trail, or riding a bike on a path, or a horse…it does not matter:  ground yourself.

If you have any questions that I have not answered in this Grounding Technique?  You can email me at [email protected].  It may take up to a week before I answer you due to my busy schedule as an author, but I will get around to your question.

Honoring my soul brother, Ed McGaa, Eagle Man, Mission Soul

In Native American culture, your name means everything.  They are given based upon what the medicine woman or man decides as they watch the baby develop after birth, what their first name will be.  As the child grows, the name may change at some point.  Some people live a lifetime with their first name.  Others will receive a second, or even third name.  The most important aspect of it is the name the medicine person gives is the one that will shape that baby or child’s life.  The medicine person also is clairvoyant and can see the unrolling of this baby’s life to come, which plays an important part on the name that will walk with her/him and also shaping/developing them, as well.  And as the child grows, matures, the name may well change, the shaping and the energy expression of that next name will build upon the foundation of the first name.

So?  Do you know what your name is?  I was born with my mother’s name, and was given a middle name of Eileen, and it was used within the family instead, since we didn’t need two females in the same household being the same, identical name.   As an anglicized version of Eibhlín, Aileen’s origins lie in the Gaelic form of the Greek Hēlēnē, which means “bright, shining light.” It’s a name made famous by Helen of Troy—the Spartan queen whose captivating beauty set the wheels of the Trojan War in motion.  English names usually don’t symbolize anything but the patriarchal male’s surname, and it still isn’t symbolic of the energy where it was created and why except in the family generational energy.  Names should have greater resonance and power than that, in my opinion.  It doesn’t “explain” the person’s unique, individual energy nor their plan or mission for their 3D incarnation, either.  Plus, it does not aid in shaping the person that would be helpful to them.  An English name may well dilute the incarnation’s plan, not necessarily support, aid, feed or support it.

You have to go back to the Latin root word or a Greek word, to find out what your English name symbolizes or represents.  In the USA, names mean little.  To indigenous people?  Nothing could be more important because they SEE/perceive the spirit guide (usually an animal, but it could anything) in that baby or young girl or boy.  And whatever the animal is/does?  They have that same energy and expression in their outer world.  They also believe the ‘totem’ or animal spirit guide is also with this individual for their life, a guide, a leader, a teacher and support of that human’s incarnation.   In other words, the youngster BECOMES the name and vice-versa.  It’s a circle, with half being human and the other half an animal spirit guide.  Together, they combine their individual powers to help the named one.

When do you have an English name?  You will have to find your Latin or Greek name by Googling it.  Ask what the “definition” of the name is.  I would also look up the Latin and Greek definition of it, as well.  There will be a symbolic energy that comes with it and is connected to you.  If you have two or three names in your original birth name?  Which one do you prefer to be called?  That is the one you should look up to see what it symbolizes.   And, if you don’t like your given name?  You have every right to change it.  By changing it, you are changing the vibration and frequency of it, as well.  We can then BECOME OUR NAME over the course of our lifetime.  Yes, you can name yourself.  Choose one that appeals to your heart.  And choose a spirit guide of that name.

By accepting your birth or “new” name?  You will now have lived up to receiving the high intense vibration that is associated with it.  You are a star person whether you know/realize it or not.  In the Native American cosmology a person is named at birth, but as they grow, mature, experience, learn, they are often given a second name.  And as they become it?  Then they continue to grow and a new name befitting where you are, is given to you  🙂  You do not ‘lose’ your other names.  They are simply enfolded and dissolved into your next name; supporting each step, much like building a brick foundation, one brick at a time.  Being given a name is the highest sacred moment that can occur in a person’s life.  Such a ceremony is not taken lightly, and after the person accepts their new name (they can say no to it, as well), then they BECOME IT.  So be self-aware about your life, the synchronicities that will be occurring more regularly .  Pay attention to the symbol, the feeling of it, and look at it on a multi-level:  spiritual, mental, emotional and physically.

Let me tell you a story:  My mother always called me Eileen.  My father always called me BUZZ, and he had Native American DNA.  The name was to honor the Honey Bee nation (his friend was a beekeeper and brought two hives to our home), and who I was as a baby and child.   I did not start to speak until I was four years old.  From 1-4 all I did was go bbbuuuuzzzzz — like a honey bee, running around, emulating one when I could.  When I did speak, close to my 5th birthday, I talked in fully formed, understandable sentences.  No gibberish.  It shocked my mother.  My father grinned and continued to call me Buzz for the rest of the time he passed over in 1975.

Raised between Native American and Druid/Irish/Scotland genes, I’ve been on the Native American “medicine path,” all my life.  There are four initiations, symbolizing the Four Directions,  North, East, South and West if you desire to become a medicine person, a service worker, a healer.  And one must achieve and live to tell about each initiation they take, and share it with their teacher .   There are the air, water, earth and fire element challenges one must survive.  The initiate must go through each one, building a deeply spiritual foundation, as a result. Women are not seen as fully empowered until they stop bleeding monthly.  That is usually around age 40-45.  Then, they hold their blood of their body within themselves, fully empowering themselves, instead of giving our blood away monthly to our  Mother, the Earth as a gift and with grateful thanks for Her loving us and our family.

THE SALAMANDER PEOPLE, THE FIRE ELEMENT AND MY FIRE INITIATION INTO THEIR REALM

I’m sharing with you the story of my last initiation by FIRE, that occurred in 1988 because I received my second name five years later.  In 1993, Lakota Sioux Ed McGaa, Eagle Man, medicine man, sweat lodge leader, and warrior, stayed with us and we performed an incredible sweat lodge ceremony together.  We built the sweat on our Oak Creek property sixteen miles south of Sedona, on beautiful Oak Creek.  In Ed’s 2nd book, THE RAINBOW TRIBE, he gave me the name TASHUUNKA WINAN WICHASTA, Wolf Woman Warrior in honor of the sweat we conducted together where incredible, magical events occurred because of all the people who were there that night.  We were One.  He gave me my second name after the sweat finished  :-).   I wasn’t expecting it, but I cried after receiving it.  What a beautiful name and energy to carry forward!

Wolves symbolize the family, the tribe, a fierce family/tribe that lives, fights, struggles to stay together  and survive against a darkening world, fighting as one, like a fierce warrior team that they are.  My ‘family’ of wolves are the 125 women/3 men I’ve trained in my family’s shamanic traditions from around the globe.  And we are heart fierce, and all are a hundred percent focused as Mission Souls in this sick, ailing world of ours.  We are on the front lines against the dark 24/7/365.  There is no rest, no downtime for MISSION SOULS such as ours/and my global family.  We are at the end of the Hopi Fourth World prophecy:  That our  world will be destroyed by FIRE (most likely a nuclear war, but it could be climate change, temperature climbing so high it will kill most humans on the planet).  The next world, the FIFTH WORLD, is the world of the HEART and peace/love/togetherness as ONE, will prevail.   Also called the Age of Aquarius by astrologers.   We Mission Souls are in the fight for our literal life of our planet, Mother Earth and all her relations.  A name means EVERYTHING because it embodies who you are, and what you’re growing into to become it.

As far as naming goes, the BEAR is the ultimate medicine name, the ultimate healer of all.  In most Native American nations, the Bear, Wolf and Eagle are seen as the most powerful, influential and all of them because they are fearless Warriors for the Light.

By the way?  If interested?  Eagle Man, had the authority to give others new names,  had invited me to contribute to the Sweat Lodge chapter  5 (I am a sweat lodge leader, trained and taught by Santee Lakota woman, Patti Running, my teacher, who was also a friend of Ed.  I sweated every day for six weeks with her  on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota with her and her Lakota sisters and learned the ceremony).  On page 86, our experience (Ed and I co – led the sweat lodge).  We had two seasoned sweat lodge leaders that night…a rarity, but twice as powerful, too.

Buy the book (Rainbow Tribe: Ordinary People Journeying on the Red Road) and read Chapter 5, then further into it is titled:  THE NIGHT THE BOTTOM FELL OUT, written by me.

The importance of what happened in that sweat was pure mysticism, rare and phenomenal.  It happened because everyone I invited to that sweat lodge was heart centered.  Some were my shamanic students from around the world, and some, dear friends.  I had led sweats where the top of the lodge would dissolve and that was an incredibly rare occurrence.  It showed the caliber of the participants, their heart and spiritual love for self and others.  Tops of sweats don’t just “disappear/dissolve” regularly or routinely.  Indeed, most  people who have sweated in a lodge, are never in one  as a participant to see and feel it occur.  About 1/3rd of all the sweats I led had the top of the sweat lodge dissolve and we were in space, sitting around our red, glowing stones in the center, but the bottom remained beneath us.  It was my shamanic students who were heart centered, and as a group it occurred because we were in alignment with the Great Spirit and Mother Earth.

Rainbow Tribe: Ordinary People Journeying on the Red Road

Now, in the sweat with Ed Eagle Man?  First the top came off, and then the bottom disappeared.  I saw all of us sitting in a circle, elbow to elbow, the with the glowing red, sacred stone people in the center. We were surrounded by the cosmos and it was so breathtaking and amazing, all I could do was gawk like a child at some amazing, incredible moments never seen before or since….

That not only occurred, but Ed, as we’d built the sweat lodge during the day, had set the door of the sweat to the WEST, instead of the EAST 🙂  As Native Americans, we know there are no mistakes….we left it as is.  Normally, doors on a sweat (or a Navajo hogan) are set in the EAST direction, the rising sun.  That night remained phenomenal as we lifted the door skin to crawl out on our hands and knees, from the lodge, and seeing the bright, scintillating, blue glow of the planet VENUS was in direct alignment due West, in that moment, with our doorway….we received a blessing of LOVE/HEART from the planet Venus for a job “well done.”  Heart Harmony.  It was an incredible, emotionally moving, wonderful and unexpected blessing…we all felt it, our chests expanding with such joy and oneness with all…it was breath stealing and we were in the thrall of something so beautiful it has no name….  But that wasn’t all!  The FULL MOON had risen in the EAST, over the top of the black basalt cliff that we lived beneath, in direct alignment from the opposite direction where VENUS hovered in the sky.  In the book I get into what it meant symbolically for all of us.  What a sweat! What a night!  It rocked everyone’s world in the best of ways.  Everyone received a new name from Ed McGaa, whose authority as a sweat lodge leader, could do so.  What a high, spiritual honor.

The way I got in touch with Ed McGaa in the first place was I read his book, MOTHER EARTH SPIRITUALITY.  That is how we met.  The rest is dharma and seeing an old soul friend of mine who is part of the group I am a part of soul-wise.  I love this man with all my heart and soul; he’s the quintessential Warrior for the Light.  What a role model!

What a breath of fresh life to see a Native American’s perspective and how they walked Mother Earth … .just an incredible book that if you WALK THE LAND and love Nature and Mom Earth?  You MUST READ THIS BOOK like a box of chocolates….every chapter will fill your heart in a new and wonderful way.  Ed was a Mission Soul.

And then?  Feel your way through your given name at birth.  If it doesn’t “fit” you?  Then go on a wonderful journey to find the name who wants to find you and is a “fit” for who you are now.  We all change and grow.  We aren’t the same person as a baby, a young kid, a teenager, a young person, an adult or elder.  I’m sure that as you make this a heart journey to find the vibrational heart energy of the ‘right’ name for you, that there will be magical synchronicities along the way 😊

Keep me posted!  PM about your new name!  This is supposed to be fun!  It is a celebration of YOU and who you are!

THE SALAMANDER PEOPLE, THE FIRE ELEMENT AND MY FIRE INITIATION INTO THEIR REALM

Anyone who picks UP a salamander? They are of the FIRE element. My Western Cherokee medicine man, Sam,  and I had a similar event happen to me. I was visiting a friend in Dayton, OH decades ago and it was the middle of winter. I found a salamander in the middle of her double car garage. It was black with white spots. And it was so cold it was alive, but could barely move. I was so overwhelmed that the poor little critter was going to freeze to death, so I picked him up, cupped my hands over it to warm it. I knew the salamander had been TRANSPORTED into it for me…it was a message and I didn’t know what it was.  Feeling sorry for it, I then went outside on the cold, crisp winter day and found a huge oak tree with about a foot of dry leaves. I knelt down , dug all the way down within 1/2 inch of the earth. I made a nice little cozy “room” for the salamander. I gently placed him in it and crunched leaves all over him like a blanket to keep him warm, and then about 3/4’s of a foot of leaves that would act like a protective, warm blanket to keep him alive and well for the rest of the winter. In the Spring he would awaken as the temperature warmed up. When I called my teacher and told him about the salamander, he asked, “Did you touch the salamander?” I said, “Yes,” and how I had saved his life and given him a protective place to hibernate and remain safe for the rest of the winter cycle. He said that they are the “fire people.” The fact that the salamander was alone, in the middle of an empty concrete floor garage, it had been magically brought in by the Grandparents. What it really was an invitation to start working with the element of FIRE.

I was walking the medicine path, in hopes of becoming a medicine person.  It took years and there were four initiations: air, water, earth and fire.  A medicine person must be connected and part of the four elements: Earth, Air, Water and Fire was usually the last element to be worked with.  I remember him sighing and saying, “Well, it is time for you to begin to work with the element.”  There was dread, in his voice, that was heavy with worry and an edge of anxiety for me.  I had worked successfully with the other three elements and passed those initiation.  .  He said fire was always the last to deal with because the person could be killed trying to connect with the fire element.  He said that there would be a coming initiation in which I would either live or die.  If I was “worthy” I would survive the initiation.  If not, I would die.  I was shocked by all this, to say the least.

I had been a volunteer fire fighter for three years in West Point, Ohio, and so I was comfortable around fires of all kinds, whether it was a wildfire, car fires, structure/home/warehouse fires, mine fires (coal mines in Ohio), an airplane crash in our area etc.  My teacher said “that doesn’t matter.”  That the Fire People are judge and jury with anyone working to become a medicine person, that their HEART is the scale, the measure of becoming a healer to the people.  If the person was working out of their heart, was unselfish, compassionate, serving her or his village/people, then they would survive the initiation.

About three months later, Dave and I were cleaning up many acres of woodlands, getting a hundred years of fallen branches, leaves off removed so that we could walk through it instead of slogging through it up to our knees.  We had a snake-like brush pile that was twenty feet long and about eight feed wide.  I had brought out a gallon of gasoline in a can and (stupidly) went and sloshed it here and there into the center of this pile.   Once done, I placed the emptied can up on a slope that was about ten feet away.  Dave was working elsewhere so I got a lighter out of my pocket, pushed my way through the center of this mass.  I was down on my hands and knees.  I was wearing, of all things, my old West Point nylon jacket with cuffs on my wrists.  As I flicked the Bick to start the flame?  Someone unseen, forced my eyelids down across my eyes.

As the flame lit, there was a tremendous “WHOOOOSHHHH!” and suddenly, I felt two things simultaneously:  A bubble of cooling air surrounded me in the middle of that brush pile and I was tumbling end over end, as the brush exploded and literally blew me out of the center of it.  I was tumbling over and over and suddenly slammed into the slope where the gas can sat.

Shaken, I opened my eyes.  My head was slammed into the slope and I found myself opposite the brush pile which was now roaring from end to end after the initial explosion.   What had happened was as I put gasoline from one end to the other, the FUMES of the gas had occurred.  And when I lit the Bic, thinking that it would only start a small, central fire in the brush—it did not.  The fumes lying close to the earth within this snake brush pile, lit instantaneously from one end to the other, all at the SAME TIME.  It was a violent, huge explosion that blew me out of the center of it all, surrounded by fire (my husband saw it happen), saw me ejected out of it like a cannon ball, tumbling end over end and slamming into the slope, far away from the roaring flames.

Dave saw it happen.  I was dazed and I sat up, trying to figure out what happened.  When I looked around, my mouth dropped opened, the ENTIRE brush pile a raging, violent, twenty foot of flames from one end to another.  I felt out of body, and trying to put it all together.  I suddenly realized I had been in the MIDDLE of that fire ball that erupted, engulfing me totally.  I then panicked, realizing I was wearing a NYLON jacket.  I knew that nylon melted instantly under fire conditions, melting on to the skin of the human wearing it, the skin burning beneath the melted nylon.  Gasping I looked down at my hands.  To my amazement, my jacket was not touched.  Not a sign of melting into my arms, or around my collar/neck, or across my body where the nylon hung.

Dave raced up to me, screaming my name, thinking I was badly burned.  Down on his hands and knees next to me, we checked the jacket everywhere and it was not burned AT ALL.  The only sign of a first degree burn was the inside of my index finger where I had flicked the Bic to start the fire….my hair was not burned (and it should have been).  My face was not burned, nor my hands, by the fiery explosion.  I sat up, in shock over what had happened.   And then, I recalled y teacher telling me that the Fire People would initiate me, one way or another, consuming me fully within fire and that I would either survive it and be protected from it, or I would die of horrific burns caused by it.

To say the least, I was shaken and in shock.  Dave got me to my feet, my knees weak and wobbly.  I was still coming in and out of semi-conscious state.  He got me back to the house, shucked the jacket off me, looking for burns on my jeans I wore, on my hiking boots, and there was none.  My hands were shaking.

How could that be?  Dave was as shaken by it as I was.  The fact that the nylon jacket was absolutely untouched by flames, had not melted at all.  It took me another hour to feel like I was back in my body, put what had happened, all together again.  I had a fire initiation.  I completely enveloped by a ball of explosive fire, I’d been ejected out of it like a cannon ball shot out of it.  I had NO BURNS anywhere, except for a ¼ inch first degree burn where I’d been holding the lighter.  My hair had not been singed at all.  And as I moved through the sequence, I remember the cooling air bubble that surrounded me, and that “someone” pulled my lids down over my eyes to protect them for what was coming.

I had survived my fire element initiation.   I got on the phone and called my teacher and told him what had happened an hour earlier.  There was silence at the other end when I finished my experience.  I heard my teacher sigh, and then he said, “You’re alive.  You passed the initiation test.”  I asked him what that meant going forward.   He said the Fire People had accepted me as an initiate on the fire path, and that I would now be given fire energy that would support me, protect me, to and to use it in healing to help others, and “all my relations.”  Fire isn’t just 3D flames in a fireplace.  There is COSMIC FIRE that is produced by the Kundalini, which resides in the tailbones and is symbolized as a coiled snake.  Snakes are cosmically about energy and connection with Love.  When our Kundalini arises, it weaves in and out of chakras, rising from the Root Chakra and moving upward along our spinal column until it move up and out of Crown Chakra which is located at the top, center of our head.  From there, the energy connects with Universal Love and you are enveloped, embraced with it and every cell of your body is bathed in it.  This is called “being Enlightened.”  When the cosmic snake awakens, She is of the FIRE PEOPLE. And one must have both in place in order to be triggered and working for us while we’re in body.  MISSION SOULS almost always are working with an “awakened” Kundalini because love transcends every dark human emotion.  They are also known as WARRIORS FOR THE LIGHT.  Their “weapon” is Love.

And all because I’d picked up the “invitation” of that black salamander with white spots.  My teacher said the black was symbolic of the North energy, the winter darkness longer than the light.  The white color spoke of my star person heritage, the blood

in this incarnation that was from the stars.  And that my connection cosmically would work through me to help/heal all my relations, moving forward.  That felt right to me because of my powerful connection to the Pleiades, and in particular, to the star called Maia.  Native Americans understand that they come from the stars, that Mother Earth was a ‘teaching’ planet for souls to come to and have incarnations in order to be educated and grow, hopefully into their heart, being compassionate by nature and understanding that love is the greatest and most positive/healing human emotion that we have.  We are designed to walk the path of Love as a soul.  It felt good to hear that from my teacher.  And interestingly, the Pleiades is high in our Northern hemisphere sky at night in the WINTER, when my initiation occurred.  I felt very protected when I went through the fire initiation, by my home and by my star parents who are always with me in this incarnation.

My teacher chuckled a little when we got finished talking about the whole event.  He said, “I’ll bet you’ll think twice before you pick up another salamander, knowing what you know now?”  I laughed a little.  I told him I had no regrets in saving that little black polka-dotted white spotted salamander than had been TRANSPORTED into that garage, designed such that I would, of course, pick up the poor creature and save it’s life.  Since then, salamanders have cropped up in my life and I always pick them up and carry them to a place of safety so they can continue to live.  I also ask, when they show up to me in either 3D or 4D, “what message do you bring me?” and inevitably?  They appear when a message from the fire people is being given to me, about something I need to know or understand.  It is ongoing training and education by them, for me, as an initiate in their realm, to continue my ongoing training with them.  That is how it works, at least via my Western Cherokee medicine man teacher.  I’m humbled and grateful to be walking the Medicine Path.  My mission this incarnation is to serve, aid in healing all my relations, this lifetime.

THE PLEIADES constellation with the names of the stars that can be seen with a naked eye.  Maia is my soul home.

SALAMANDERS:

Are Salamanders poisonous? While salamanders are not venomous (meaning that their bite is not toxic), their skin is poisonous. If you happen to come into contact with a salamander, be sure to thoroughly wash your hands afterward and avoid rubbing your eyes or touching your mouth to prevent irritation.

Slimy Salamander is black with white spots

Are black salamanders rare?

Black salamander is one of the rarest species among the salamander family. It is almost extinct by now, and thus has become a rare sight.

Is it safe to touch a spotted salamander?

For starters, don’t touch—unless you are moving them out of harm’s way. Salamanders have absorbent skin and the oils, salts and lotions on our hands can do serious damage

Are there poisonous salamanders in the US?

Are salamanders poisonous? Yes – all salamanders are poisonous. If you were to accidentally ingest their toxins, it can make you very sick. California newts are quite poisonous because their skin secretes tetrodotoxin, the same toxin found in puffer fish, making them deadly to animals that eat them.

What is a black salamander with white speckles?

Description: The slimy salamander is mostly black with white flecks and blotches along the sides and top portion (dorsum) of the body. The belly is typically lighter in base color than the rest of the body. The slimy has 15 to 17 (typically 16) coastal grooves (vertical flanks along a salamander’s sides).

What is the most poisonous salamander?

The rough-skinned newt (Taricha granulosa) produces the neurotoxin tetrodotoxin, the most toxic nonprotein substance known. Handling the newts does no harm, but ingestion of even a minute fragment of skin is deadly.  It is black with YELLOW spots on its body.

HOW TO WORK WITH A PLANT

For eons, human have worked with plants, trees, flowers, bushes, moss, mushrooms/fungi to find out how they can a help a human who is ill.  Since the dawn of time, medicine people or herbalists, connected deeply with the plant to find out what it was good for, or whether or not one should partake of it as an herb at all.  What could it heal in a human?  Could it poison us?  What symptoms could the plant cure in us?  Could this plant kill a human?

My mother taught me the use of herbs from a very young age, and she was a generational herbalist in her mother’s side of the family.  She taught me how to ‘talk’ with plants.  I am a family lineage trained shaman through my father’s Eastern Cherokee side of the family.  He began teaching me what had been passed down through generations, and it was simply known as a healing.  It wasn’t until I was about twenty-five, that I stumbled upon a book that literally flew off the shelf at a New Age bookstore in Pittsburgh, PA, and I picked it up.  It was a book on shamanism written by  a South American author.  While reading it, I began to see parallels to what I was taught.  Shamans are taught to do 2 things:  bring back a message(or messages) and bring back lost/stolen pieces of energy and returned to their rightful owner.

I had always communed with Nature from flowers to trees to rocks, to anything that did or did not move.  I always ‘felt’ them.  That is where I became aware of telepathy.  It is an IMPRINT of communication that includes feelings/emotions right along with it.  And you can develop these senses by simply doing it more often…practice makes perfect.  Valves in the right hemisphere where all the paranormal equipment is located, are gradually opened…the more you work with plants, the faster you will open up to a much broader and deeper communication with them.

So, let’s get started!  ANYONE can do this.  You don’t have to be a shaman or have some ‘special’ skill to do it.  Everyone has the same paranormal equipment in the right hemisphere of their brain.  In order to open it up, you have to use it and use it more than once a month.  So, first, go find a plant to work with.  Potted plans work just great.  I would NOT use a bouquet of flowers.  You want something that has roots to it and is living and growing.

Rule #1           EVERYTHING IN NATURE CAN COMMUNICATE WITH YOU AND VICE-VERSA.  Just because people told you that was impossible?  It’s not.  And there’s more and more proof that plants indeed, do communicate with one another and us.  They even sing!

Rule #2           If at first you don’t succeed?  Try, try, try again.  Practice makes perfect.  People who are empathetic or sensitive will find this easier than someone who is not.  All this means is their psychic equipment is online to a degree and they’re already utilizing some of its power.  Do not get bummed out if you fail.  When you fail?  You try again, and again, and again.

Rule #3  FEAR is your greatest road block to doing this type of work.  Fear of failure.  Fear of looking “dumb” or “stupid” or “not smart enough” to do it.   Baloney.  There isn’t a human being on this earth who can’t do this work!

Rule #4  Be sure to have a small bag of cornmeal on you.  Give a pinch of it to the plant.  This is your way of opening up a pathway of communication to one another.  It shows you are generous, that you are sincere, and that you value a connection with the plant.  Then, choose a quiet room, no music, door shut, no pets, no shrieking bird, no children, no cell phone or electronics “on.”  Shut them all off.  You tell your partner you’re meditating and to leave you alone.  When you come out of the room, you can talk to one another.  HE is not to disturb you, not knock or make a loud noise or any way sabotage your efforts.

Rule #5  I’m going to send you a Plant Talk Worksheet (more on this later) via email.  You will need to have it handy and you will need a pen or pencil and something to write on after you come back from your journey work inside the plant.  You will need to fill this out upon your return.

Rule #6  Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down.  A plant journey takes approximately 20 minutes or less.  If you lay down, put a pillow under head, lay on your back, pillow under your knees.  A lot of people get chilled, so put a blankey over you.  Take your shoes off.  Wear socks or booties to keep your feet warm.  Do not  wear a lot of jewelry (wedding ring is okay).  Take off your watch and set it aside.

Rule #7  GROUND YOURSELF

HOW TO GROUND YOURSELF WITHIN YOUR PHYSICAL BODY

If you are unable to organize your life, and your home and office space are always messy, this is a symptom. If you do not have discipline to finish what you start, and are sometimes referred to as “spacy,” forgetful, or a “space cadet,” these are symptoms that you may be partially out of your body. The good news is that you can bring your astral body back into sync with your physical one, here is what you must do:

  1. Find a quiet room where you will be uninterrupted for at least 15-20 minutes. Turn off the cell phone, no animals or people can be in the room, and put up a DO NOT DISTURB sign. Take off your shoes, lie down, and get comfortable on your back. If you have back problems, do not lie flat; usually bending your knees, feet flat on the floor, will help with this condition. If you have an injury that prevents you from lying down, then just sit comfortably somewhere that helps you relax.
  1. Close your eyes. Do not cross your hands, legs, or ankles. If sitting in a chair, place your feet flat against the floor (you don’t have to take off your shoes or socks). Take a deep breath through your nostrils and down into your abdomen. Release the breath slowly through your mouth. Do this three times in a row.
  1. Visualize yourself lying down or sitting. Do your best, but don’t struggle with this part.
  1. Perceive your astral body (which is colorful like a rainbow) hanging about 12 to 24 inches above your head. You will see the head, neck, shoulders and arms of your astral body.

5.Visualize that your astral body is slowly moving up and out of the top of your head until your astral feet are hovering above the top of your head.

  1. Then, slowly, with the force of your will, see the astral body return to your physical body. You will see the feet slide down through an opening in the top of your head and the rest of your body will move with it.
  1. Continue to visualize the astral feet traveling down past your chest, your waist, your hips, down through your thighs, past your knees, into your calves until finally, the astral feet “lock” into place with your physical feet. Imagine a “locking in” or “docking” kind of sensation where there are invisible latches on the astral feet wrapping around and strapping into your physical feet. Some people actually feel it occur. But it will happen whether you feel anything or not.
  1. As your astral feet lock into your physical feet, the rest of your astral body is already locking into place with your hands, arms, fingers, and the rest of your physical body.
  1. Imagine at the top of your head that there is a circular “lid.” It is open, allowing your astral body to fully slip back into your physical body. Watch as this lid slowly closes over the top of your head once your astral body is locked into place. About an hour later, this lid is actually the opening for the crown chakra and will automatically open and close as it runs energy to “feed” your aura and physical body—so don’t worry if it comes open and then closes. That’s normal. Your astral body will remain locked in and within you.
  1. You may now open your eyes and adjust to the here and now. You may feel a bit ‘different,’ and perhaps a little heavier or weighted—this is a good sign that your astral body is now completely in alignment with your physical form. Give yourself a few minutes to adjust to this new sensation. When you feel ready, stand up. Take your time, it may feel different at first so give your physical and astral bodies a chance to adjust.

HOW TO TAKE A PLANT JOURNEY

It doesn’t matter where in the house your potted plant is located.  Distance doesn’t exist in 4D (4th dimension +) which is where you will be operating within.  You do not need to bring the plant into this room.  If it is there all the time, that’s fine.   Or, if you go outside and sit on the ground with a plant, that’s fine, too.  Whatever suits your particular circumstance.

*At the count of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, find yourself growing smaller than the plant  you are working with.  Just count the numbers slowly in your head.  Some may feel your body “shrinking” as you count.  Find yourself standing in front of the plant.  It will be much taller and larger than you are, which is perfect for a journey into it.

*Introduce yourself by name.  Tell the plant why you’re visiting it:  I’d like to know if you are good for a human being to use.  Ask the plant if you have its permission to enter the stem where it meets the soil/ground.  If a ‘yes’ then see yourself walking forward into the stalk, dissolving into it and then standing in the middle of the stem.  This will happen automatically.  If a ‘no,’ then thank the plant for it’s time, give a second pinch of cornmeal, and find another one.  Do not be angry or upset with the plant.  They have a right to put out their boundary on us because they are a living being—just like us.

*You are now IN the plant.  Thank the plant mental telepathy-wise, for allowing you to enter her/him/it.  Please ask the plant its name.  (Plant names are usually phonetic or sing-song, and they are not like human/English language names).  Look around and “feel” the plant.  They have emotions just like us so what is the feeling around the plant right now?  What color is the stem?  Are their fluids moving in it?  Is the fluid a particular color(s)?  Remember these things.  Using mental telepathy, thank the plant for allowing it to allow you into it.  Ask the plant what it does for human beings.  Can some part of it be used for tea?  A poultice?  An ointment?  A salve?  What are the roots used?  And if so, what are they used for?  What part of the human body will it support and heal?  What else does the plant wish you to know?  If you are familiar with the chakra system?  Ask them what is the primary chakra that the plant focuses on?  It’s important to ask questions.  Plants are just like people, personality-wise.  Some are quiet, some chatty, some shy, some extrovert, etc.  Find out who you are dealing with and be respectful and treat the plant as your EQUAL.  Some plants take a long time to answer.  Some don’t.  Do not bully them, do not nag them or in any way use your negative human emotions around them.  They won’t ever speak to you again.  The best way to approach any plant, no matter how large or small, is with your HEART and your love.  Humility and being humble, as well as respectful,  is the best posture you can take.  The plant knows more than you ever will about itself, so place them on a pedestal of respect and that you are student, coming to learn from them.  THEY ARE YOUR TEACHER; not the other way around.  Be SURE to leave a pinch of cornmeal as a “thank you” for the plant’s participation.

*Ask permission to travel up into her leaves or into her bud or flower.  Also, check out the roots, go down and be among them.  Look at the type of roots they are.  Look at the surrounding soil. Why type is it?  Look at both sides of her leaf.  Are they the same color or two different colors?  Is there a soft hair on the stem or leaves?  Or stiffer ones?  Or are their thorns?  Your questions are contained on the Plant Journey Form.

*Before you exit the plant the way you came into it?  Ask the plant what you can do for it.  After all, she or he has given you a great deal of information; you need to return the favor because it’s not a one-way street….both beings have to benefit from this.  Sometimes, they will ask for more water.  Or they will wish for some natural fertilizer (such as horse manure).  Or wish for better soil (especially if they live in clay soil, it almost always needs a soil amendment of lots of sand to help it have better drainage and more ease of root growth, are some examples.   Before you leave, fill out your Plant Journey Form and take lots of photos with your cell phone or camera, of the plant.

Ask if you can come back and ask more questions of the flower.  The flower will let you know one way or the other.  If it does ask you back, it is an honor.  I always ask if I can return and ask more questions if I’ve forgotten some of what I asked about.  Once you see yourself move outside the stem and are standing in front of the plant once more in your miniaturized form?   Count 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 and see yourself assume your regular shape, height and so on.  You may feel an expansion energy as it happens, (like a sponge absorbing water and growing larger sensation)  so don’t worry about it; it is normal to feel these sensations.  Once back to the “here and now,” pick up your Plant Journey Form and fill it out to the best of your memory.  It’s important to do this as soon as you come back to your normal size.  People who are not used to communicating in 4D+ often forget 3/4ths of what they were given.  This memory ability will improve with time and practice.

*When you go back a second time you do not need to miniaturize yourself and get permission from the flower to move into her stem.  From now on  just bring the plant a pinch of cornmeal, sit in a chair (or if you’re outside, on the ground) in front of it.  The plant will recognize you.  Use its name, give her a pinch of cornmeal, sit down and ask her if it’s all right to talk to her, that you have more questions for her.  The plant will tell you yes or not.

*After the initial journey? You don’t need to keep taking journeys inside it,  unless of course, the plant invites you to do that.  I only journey into a plant to understand what it’s good for or not, to a human being or animal, like a dog or cat.  After that, it is what I call “face-to-face” dialog and further meetings with the plant.   You may find a plant that you want to return to and meditate with (with its permission, of course).  I hope you keep a journal on anything you communicate about.  Knowledge is important.  Especially if you are an herbalist.  Always cross-check information the plant gives you with human/book resources or sources.  I have found in my own work with plants and later go to cross-check the info they gave me, that there is agreement.  That’s when you know you aren’t “making it up” and that you have a genuine connection with that plant.

*You will be drawn to certain plants, bushes, trees, rocks, geographic terrain.  When it comes to plants or mushrooms, be sure you are not dealing with a hallucinogenic type.  You can carry a small plant identification book on you if you are out in the field.  The reason that you should not deal with them is that they are the most powerful in the Plant Nation.  It requires YEARS of work to have the experience necessary to work with them—if they will work with you at all.  In my experience, Datura is the most powerful hallucinogenic herb I’ve encountered.  Datura is also poisonous…and many times, hallucinogenic plants are poisonous and can kill you.  Lots of reasons NOT to work with them.  Get at least 5-7 years of plant journey work under your belt before you approach one of these powerful queens of the plant world.  They don’t suffer fools, either.  They, above all plants, know the protocols you humans are supposed to know before you ever think about approaching one, how you behave toward it, etc.    I’ve seen a Datura, when displeased with a human who is wanting something from her that she doesn’t want to give them (this falls under “they don’t suffer fools gladly…”) to ask a bee, a scorpion, a centipede,  or even a deadly rattlesnake to come and drive the human away from it.  You do not mess lightly with this powerful plant being.  They are royalty among plants (that’s why I call them queens).  Another is the Peyote cactus.  Small, but it packs a helluva punch to it.   I’ve worked in New Zealand with Agaricus muscarius (also known as Fly Agaric), a fungi hallucinogenic chap.  It too, can kill a human being.   This royal group of plants have the POWER to use against you, should you be stupid enough to barge in on them and think you deserve their attention.  Nope.  Nada.  Hasta la vista.  Ain’t gonna happen.  Beware and don’t mess with them. They will NOT make your day.

Is there a circle area created by foliage, rocks or trees?___________________________

Do you see two trees (could be a Beech and Oak, but perhaps not depending upon what country you are in) that appear to be a “gate” to another area?  If so, stop and do not cross but call the Guardian of that gate first.  Many times, these tree gates or rock gates are entrances to a portal.  There is ALWAYS a Guardian with a portal and gate.

Are you at or around a petroglyphs area?  If so, this can be a portal area.  Ask for a Guardian before going any further into that area.

NOTES in your notebook.

 CIRCLES

Is there a circle or opening around you?____________

Has it been created by flowers, rocks, bushes, trees or a water course?__________________

Call the Guardian to appear because if this circle is really a PORTAL?  You need to know before stepping into the circle itself.  NOTES in your notebook.

If it is a portal in disguise, ask the Guardian what type of portal is it?  Where does it go?  Are you allowed to transit through the portal and into the tunnel or not?__________

Is this a NEOLITHIC or IRON AGE circle? (Europe/UK, but can be found elsewhere in the world).  Ask the Guardian what type of portal is it?  Where does it go?  Are you allowed to transit through the portal and into the tunnel or not?____________

Is this a medicine wheel if in North America?  This is SACRED and should NOT be entered.  However,  ask the Guardian if you are allowed to do it or not.

MISSION SOULS: Who and What are they? Are you one?

I saw this meme on my Facebook newsfeed and it triggered a desire to write a more in depth article about this from a metaphysical perspective.

The above meme brings to mind a group of souls who have VOLUNTEERED to incarnate into a 3D human body and are here to help the rest of us.  These are called MISSION SOULS. They are mid (mature) – to old souls in education, experience, hundreds, if not thousands of incarnations, possess many skill sets, and are here presently to ASSIST, SUPPORT and remain grounded in order to aid energetically/physically to usher in the Age of Aquarius into our tottering, out-of-harmony,  3D world. MISSION SOULS number about one billion here on Mom Earth right now. And every last one of them is on the FRONT LINES of this war between Light and the smothering, killing Patriarchy, as well as aiding in the TRANSITION PHASE from the 4th world to the 5th world.

The Quechua Indians of Peru, which pre-date the Inca by thousands of years, are rejoicing.  In their belief system they have told us that the “5th world of the Heart” will be emerging in the 21st century.  And indeed, it is happening right now.

The Hopi prophecy has said that this world we live in now, will be destroyed by FIRE.  And then, the 5th world of the heart will arise and take its rightful, welcomed place. And that is when we will finally have peace among all beings globally.  It is something worth being a part of us, to be a Warrior for the Light, for “all our relations.”

These uniquely qualified souls are here to INFLUENCE those humans who remain “asleep.”  They are here to send new ideas, perspectives and usher in the creation of the 5th world of the Heart into our 3rd dimensional world.  They are of all genders, ages, skin colors and you can tell when they walk among us, their unbelievable LOVE is palpable to those who are “awake” and self-aware. Those who are asleep (young and immature souls which are five billion in body presently, here on Mother Earth), may not notice per se, but they can still FEEL the uplifting energy.  Even a person who is asleep, will respond a little or a lot to the kindness, generosity, care, support, etc., in that soul’s aura, and the person will appreciate it on either an unconscious or conscious level of themselves.  In the cosmos, it is the energy of LOVE that chips away at those incarnated humans who are still asleep, and it helps the young soul to awaken and take a step toward the Light.

See the example of Mari, in this obituary below, as an example of a Mission Soul:

Mari earned a PhD from Harvard University in 2000. At Harvard, Mari studied primarily under Alice Jardine and Barbara Johnson and worked as a full-time lecturer until being appointed to the University of Toronto as an Assistant Professor specializing in critical theory, psychoanalysis, continental philosophy, phenomenology, poststructuralism, and feminist and queer theory.

Mari holds degrees from Brown (BA), Harvard (MA, PhD), and the University of Paris (DEA), where she studied with philosopher Julia Kristeva. Students flocked to fill her classes and work with her. Within a short period, Mari developed into one of the preeminent theorists of our time and was granted the position of Distinguished Professor. The number of students that Mari inspired and encouraged is immeasurable.

The act of writing brought Mari great joy and fulfillment. Her work particularly allows complicated concepts to become accessible and the most difficult thinkers to become approachable. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢’𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐨𝐧 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐮𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧𝐞’𝐬 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐚 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐞’𝐬 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫.

Her books are wildly popular, not just with scholars whose work ranges from queer antinormativity to ethics, but in communities of clinicians, analysts, artists, and creative writers who find transformative insights into the experiences of love, loss, hardship, and how to live an ethical, examined, and meaningful life. Her many books include Reinventing the Soul: Posthumanist Theory and Psychic Life (Other Press, 2006), A World of Fragile Things: Psychoanalysis and the Art of Living (SUNY Press, 2009), The Case for Falling in Love (Sourcebooks, 2011), The Singularity of Being: Lacan and the Immortal Within (Fordham University Press, 2012), The Call of Character: Living a Life Worth Living (Columbia University Press, 2013), Between Levinas and Lacan: Self, Other, Ethics (Bloomsbury, 2015), The Ethics of Opting Out: Queer Theory’s Defiant Subjects (Columbia University Press, 2017), Penis Envy and Other Bad Feelings (Columbia University Press, 2018), and Distillations: Theory, Ethics, Affect (Bloomsbury, 2018). She has left behind a number of unpublished manuscripts that will appear posthumously.

In 2018, Mari received a breast cancer diagnosis. Mari will also be missed terribly by a large circle of friends, students, and colleagues all over the world who adore her. Relationships were of paramount importance to Mari, and she had a remarkable ability to attract kindred souls wherever she went, building community and family around her. She was especially adept at seeing and connecting with the children in her life.

Mari loved and celebrated being alive. She found places with which she connected, and she made them home. She found pleasure and beauty all around her, and she had a knack for truly relishing life. She thought deeply, wrote brilliantly, spoke honestly, loved earnestly, laughed easily, and lived with glorious vitality. And she never met a piece of chocolate she didn’t like.

Mari approached her illness and treatment with tenacity and determination. She advocated for herself with ferocity, never losing her belief in herself or her instincts. To her last days Mari’s courage, incandescent vibrancy, and intellectual rigor was matched only by her kind-heartedness. Mari lived by her theoretical ideals in that she faced the existential crisis of life and treated each new decision as a creative act.”

Mari, Mission Soul.  Mission accomplished.

You can tell a Mission Soul who has incarnated by:

Their focus is on a specific mission in life – and it can be on a local, regional or global level in influencing others who are asleep or just starting to wake up to begin the process of becoming self-aware.  They are usually found in a specific skill  and they are usually in the peer group over time, a leader, not a follower.  They could be a school teacher, a professional caregiver, a police person, a ditch digger, an engineer, a pilot, a grocery store clerk, a field hand, a jockey, a farmer, a secretarial assistant, a dog walker….they come in all types of careers or jobs that they take.

The nature of the job is only important in that the energy  of their aura touches people who are around them, day in and day out.  It is a silent ‘commingling’ when auras meet and move through one other.  An aura can each influence the other, if the person unconsciously decides to accept or reject the other person’s auric energy.  Every person has a choice when this glancing contact occurs.  Just think about being squeezed into a subway!  How many auras are overlapping, meeting and moving through one another?

The Mission Soul’s  ”job” in this incarnation is one of, to borrow the term, “an influencer,” by just being in a human body.  They also may have a lot of leadership abilities as well and frequently rise to the top of whatever their ‘job/profession’ is over time.  It is an invitation and  subtle persuasion going on at the energetic/vibrational level.   In today’s world, it’s easy enough to share with the world, literally, via written/ebooks, PODcasts, the Internet, giving a webinar, a local talk to a group of people, or at a conference.  Getting the ‘word’ out has never been easier or faster.  There are websites devoted solely to metaphysics and mysticism and spirituality, such as Gaia.com.  Whether people who are asleep ever visit them, is a wholly different situation.  That is why so many souls have incarnated, to be ‘available’ in a local sort of way, to let those who are asleep to be gently be grazed by one of these healing, transformational auras.  Many Mission Souls are  in the ’trenches’ with those who are asleep.

Take for instance, as an example, a food distribution center where one of the many volunteers who give the free food, is a mission soul.  They have close contact with the client, helping, explaining, carrying or doing many other jobs to bring needed food to their basket or their car.  Perhaps a smile.  A kindness.  A thoughtful gesture to those who are deeply stressed by life, almost always is welcomed by the client.  Just that simple moment of human care, can work wonders and is very healing and awakens such an individual.  Becoming awake is a process and can take many incarnations to accomplish.  That is why Love energy,  in all its many layers of meaning and expression in all our lives, is so important to the overall health of humanity rising its collective vibration together, rather than sinking into an abysmal, daily hell or this world ending in eventual destruction.

These incarnated souls are very mature adults and do a lot less “projecting” of their own wounds they’re working on to heal, than the rest of the population who is asleep, immature, and blames everything on everyone else.  Those who refuse to take RESPONSIBILITY for their decision and choices they have made  always blame others for their situation they CHOSE to get into in the first place.  The old adage, “You made your bed, now lay in it,” is alive and well in today’s victim world order.  It is a dark choice to always blame others.

A Mission Soul is NOT PERFECT.  But a hallmark of them is that they are extremely SELF-AWARE, which stops them from taking or making a dark choice, versus a Light choice, for the good of all.  They WORK constantly at being non-judgmental toward every human being, and instead, try their best to see them in a compassionate state that they are doing/trying the best they can.  Mission Soul’s make mistakes, too…but they will speak up or “do the right thing,” to equalize their poor choice/behavior and most importantly, learn from that mistake and not repeat it.  They can admit a mistake.  They can say “I’m sorry.”  Or “I was wrong.”  They can rectify the wrong choice as much as possible once it is out into the 3D reality and turn it into a positive.

They are humble, have humility, do not seek the spotlight or to hog a conversation of: “me, me, me” instead of listening to the other party (you).   They are excellent listeners because they see/perceive and hear with the ears and eyes of their HEARTTheir 3D Ego is well in check and does not run them at all.  It is put in its rightful place as part of the “container,” i.e., the physical body/home our spirit lives within during an incarnation and it is secondary in that individual’s life.

One of the qualities a Mission Soul possesses is of being a CATALYST.  The energy contained within their aura possesses the ability to ‘share’ with someone else’s aura.  It’s normally not a conscious sharing, and usually not thought about beforehand; it simply happens.  Why?  Because Mission Souls are aligned with the advanced souls who are our higher teachers,  but it could also be a master or an archetype(s) that they are working with, also.  They have chosen and volunteered for “Earth Duty.”

For example, a lot of the Mission Souls come from the SERVICE path who are in body right now, to hold the energy of Light against the darkness that began decades ago here on Earth.  Those who walk a dark path have now ripped off their masks to show who they really are: greedy, controlling, desires power over others, demeans/subjugates/suppresses women, the LGBTQ, and color of a person’s skin, their religion or belief system – you get the idea.  We see it around us every day.  It is a Civil War between people of the Light and people of the Dark, and its worldwide at this point.

Because we all (whether asleep or awake) have a Chief Guide (CG), she/he/it knows when a certain time/place is set up so that when the mission soul comes into the area, let’s say, a movie theater, and their auras come together with one another.  This is an everyday occurrence that may occur, but even at that, the healing energy, the love from the Mission Soul’s aura brushing and moving through another’s aura does affect them on a positive level.  And some of that Light energy may be absorbed by the asleep person’s aura.  This is why Mission Souls are called a  catalyst.

A Mission Soul’s aura is usually larger and brighter than a normal person’s aura,  who is asleep.  Because the aura is expanded, people around this individual are constantly moving through it when in proximity of them.  It could be while riding on a subway, on a plane, in a grocery store, in a doctor’s waiting room…anywhere.  The other person may feel better for a while, happier, have more energy than usual, as an example, when this trading of energy occurs.

When a person is touched by this higher vibration of energy, their aura will absorb that higher frequency from the Mission Soul, if they allow it.  They can reject it because in 3D, everyone has free will choice.  Usually, the asleep person experiences an uplifting of their energy on some level, a sense of peace, calm, or even feels less stressed and perhaps, feels their own burdens to become less heavy to carry.   Chances are, they will not know one another during this commingling, but sometimes, they do.   The person on that receiving end has a choice as to whether or not to accept this connection and trade of energy, or not.  The Mission Soul does not interfere with the process — ever.  It will be what it is to be from the asleep person’s decision.  It’s always up to the receiver to decide on their unconscious level whether they want it or not.  The Mission Soul never feels drained or weak because her/his aura moves through another person’s aura.  The one who benefits here is the receiving asleep soul, if they choose to go that route.

Mission Souls are “fed” from a higher, interdimensional source.  There is a certain type of energy in the multiverse that is like ‘food’ for one’s aura.  The Hindu word for it is “prana.”  It is an energy that feeds everyone’s aura, just as food put in our mouth, feeds our physical body.   Every human on Mother Earth ‘eats’ it, or metabolizes the energy into the energy of their aura.  The higher the vibration of their aura, the more prana that person consumes, digests and utilizes  to eventually share with those around them, who are asleep.  Anyone in a physical body holds only so much energy which is predicated on how much and type of food they consume.  In an aura, the cosmic food, the prana, feeds the fields of our aura as well as the rest of our spirit system, including our chakras.

In every changing of the guard, from one age to another every 2,500 years, it is the buffer known as Mission Souls, who come in to assist the ‘birthing’ of our next age.  We live in perilous, exciting times as we are now fully, energetically, locked into the transformative process.  Helluva time to be alive!  Bring it on!  Heart to heart!

PREPPING TO MEDITATE IN THE EYE OF VESICA PISCIS

Anyone can meditate in the way they want within the EYE. There is no “one way” to meditate. Use the system of meditation that works for you.

OTHER USES OF THE VESICA PISCIS “EYE”

  • Since I have a lot of plants, I thought I’d try putting one of them in the EYE for 20 minutes. I did this for three days and it perked up, became healthy and strong. If you have an ailing plant? Place it in the EYE for 20 minutes.
  • You may have a dog or cat who loves to lay in the EYE. Let them do it whenever they want. Animals always know where GOOD, HEALTHY energy is at!
  • Anything that is ailing, suffering or unhealthy can sit, lay or curl up in the EYE for 20 minutes a day. You may find some relief from your symptom(s)
  • Sometimes, I will get a headache. Instead of taking two aspirins, I go to the Vesica Piscis and sit down in the EYE for twenty minutes. I find it relieves my headache naturally, with energy, instead of medicine. I have never had a migraine, but I wonder if the EYE wouldn’t be a good place for someone who is suffering from one? If you try it, let me know?

I’m sure there’s many more uses for the EYE. You won’t know unless you experiment with it.

VESICA PISCIS MEDIATION–HOW TO DO IT

There are meditations and then, there are MEDITATIONS. I stumbled upon the Vesica Piscis symbol many years ago in Glastonbury, England, at the Chalice Wells Garden. I became acquainted with this wondrous and miraculous symbol that created the lower pond of the well. It was created out of hand-hewn stones, this double circle, and the water from the sacred site beneath The Tor that rose above the magical garden, and poured forth into this Garden of Eden. I brought my experiences home from using it, experimented with years, shared it with others, and now use it daily in meditation. For me, it is the most powerful because it brings me back into balance and harmony with me. And in today’s stressful world, I can’t think of a better way to get back to center!

When we’re in balance, the stresses and drags on our mind leave us alone. When we allow our mind to haul the past into the present, or we worry about something in the future, we really aren’t living fully 100% in the present. With the Vesica Piiscis symbol being used in meditation, this changes everything. It dissolves our energy lines to the past and future, so it leaves us with all our energy to deal with the present, the ‘here and now.’

If you have high blood pressure, have anxiety, are depressed or overweight, this meditation can have healthy meaning to you, too. Utilizing this meditation will improve your life on all levels. Not to mention, over time, your health.

If you utilize this meditation daily for six months, you will experience remarkable changes–all positive ones….

But, I’m allowing my experience-based enthusiasm get ahead of the ‘rest of the story’– you need to know more about this ancient symbol that can be used by us

THE VESICA PISCIS SYMBOL AND ITS MANY MEANINGS OVER THE AGES…

There is an old symbol, much older than anyone can remember, beyond Christianity, beyond Rome, Greece and Mesopotamia. It is known as the Vesica Piscis symbol. Latin

translation calls it the fish bladder. But don’t be detoured by this name. Looking like two

circles overlapping one another, it has been called the symbol of the ‘fish’ (because it is shaped like one where the circles overlap) or ‘the eye of God,’ because it looks like the shape of an eye, as well. I call it The Eye. Eye of Horus, for example. There are many ‘eye’ motif’s and myths/legends around the world.

The Vesica Piscis is easily one of the most profound geometrical images of ancient and modern times. It is, for example, considered to be an integral part of the Ark of the Covenant, as described and shown figuratively by ka-gold’s version of the Vesica Piscis. The latter article, in fact, ties in rather nicely with the so-called Hourglass Nebula described at the end of this Alexandrian webpage.

Essentially the intersection of two, overlapping spheres, the Vesica Piscis (including the interior portion of it, and/or the more common two dimensional version) represents, among other things:

    1. The joining of God and Goddess to create an offspring.
    2. A symbol for Jesus Christ.
    3. In art a pointed oval used as an aureole in medieval sculpture and painting.
    4. The uterus of the female goddess (or Mother Mary’s womb).
    5. The basic foundation for the Flower of Life/Sacred Geometry.
    6. An overlay of the Tree of Life
    7. The formative power of polygons in mathematics.
    8. A geometrical description of square roots and harmonic proportions.
    9. A source of immense power and energy. A portal.  Rebalancing your aura/chakras.
    10. As such, it is also a doorway or portal between worlds, and symbolizes the intersection between heaven and the material plane. The shape of arches in gothic architecture are based on the Vesica Piscis.
    11. The shape of the Vesica Piscis is derived from the intersection of two circles, the Pythagorean “measure of the fish” that was a mystical symbol of the intersection of the world of the divine with the world of matter and the beginning of creation. To the Pythagorean, the whole of creation was based on number, and by studying the properties of numbers, they believed one could achieve spiritual liberation. The Vesica Piscis was the symbol of the first manifestation, the dyad that gives birth to the entire manifest universe. Within the Vesica can be found the triangle, the tetrad, the square, the pentacle, and many more polygons, making the Vesica a true symbolic womb.
    12. The shape of the Vesica Piscis is derived from the intersection of two circles, the Pythagorean “measure of the fish” that was a mystical symbol of the intersection of the world of the divine with the world of matter and the beginning of creation. The Vesica Piscis is used in a wide range of symbolism.
    13. The Latin term Vesica Piscis, meaning “Vessel of the Fish” is the most basic and important construction in Sacred Geometry. A Vesica is formed when the circumference of two identical circles each pass through the center of the other. When a Vesica Piscis is viewed horizontally, it looks like a vagina or a womb which is why the Christ child was often pictured inside of one. When the Vesica Piscis is viewed vertically it looks like the shape of a fish. Amazingly, the above two Vesica Piscis each have a horizontal axis equal in length to the gematria value of the Greek word for “fishes.”
    1. The Vesica Piscis is an ancient symbol used in Earth based religions and cultures, Christian symbolism and sacred geometry, as well as various other belief systems. This enduring symbol is so old that I would suggest it was ‘born’ during the age of Lemuria, the first world upon Earth, eons ago.
    2. The two overlapping circles represent the physical world on one side and the causal or spiritual world on the other. The section where they intersect is the Akashic or etheric level and is the “bridge between heaven and earth.”

In the earliest traditions, the supreme being was represented by a sphere, the symbol of a being with no beginning and no end, continually existing, perfectly formed and profoundly symmetrical. The addition of a second sphere represented the expansion of unity into the duality of male and female, god and goddess. By overlapping, the two spheres, the god and goddess created a divine offspring. It also shows the integration of the male/female that Carl Jung has talked about and that is the path to the Individuation process. The Vesica Piscis motif (and its derivatives, the Flower of Life, Tree of Life, and fundamentals of geometry) has a history of thousands of years and easily predates virtually all major religions of the current era.

The son or daughter of the god and goddess is associated with the overlapping of the spheres – the resulting three dimensional figure somewhat like an American football. In the case of Jesus Christ, the two dimensional figure has also served as a symbol for the miracle of the fishes. (The “tail” also served to more easily identify the source of the plane figure.) There is also conveyed the spiritual power originating from the interior of this symbol.

Virtually every medieval church in Europe uses as a standard motif, the Vesica Piscis in two dimensions. The fact many of these churches were dedicated to the Virgin Mary or to Mary Magdalene (aka the MOTHER goddess) is simply part of the understanding. Several of the churches in northern France are even located in such a manner that their points of light recreate the “lights” of the constellation Virgo. In Glastonbury, England, the site normally attributed to Avalon (the island of the MOTHER Goddess), is also where the Chapel of St. Mary is located — the latter which is apparently patterned with the use of the Vesica Piscis.

The goddess of any and all religions which recognize her power and significance invariably use the Vesica Piscis to identify her. From the overlapping pools of water and the Chalice Well Gardens cover in the goddess’s garden in Glastonbury (aka Avalon) to any number of representations of the Tree of Life, the goddess and her ability to create and birth life are celebrated.

Robert Lawlor, in one of the best books available on Sacred Geometry [Thames and Hudson, 1982] notes that the Ö3 contained within the Vesica Piscis is “the formative power giving rise to the polygonal ‘world’.”

In Mark Percy’s Appendix to the unique book, Two Thirds, (Aulis Publishers, London, 1993) the square roots of 2, 3, and 5 (three of the first digits in the Fibonacci Numbers) can be geometrically calculated. This is just an inkling of the possibilities. And, for those who are into mathematics, 3 – Square Root of Three – 1.732 : 1 – Vesica Piscis.

In 1996, a Crop Circle in the shape of the Vesica Piscis appeared in England. Anyone stepping into the inner portion of the two circles’ intersection could feel a sudden rush of energy. More dramatically, is the Hubble Space Telescope photo of the ineptly named Hourglass Nebula which looks like the Vesica Piscis symbol! In the center of which is a dramatic, colorful object, supposedly the remnants of a dying star (one about the size of our Sun). The green spot, in fact, is larger than the size of our solar system! The photograph is so dramatic, in fact, that it has appeared on the cover of National Geographic [April 1997]. The fact that it is out in space, in our spiral armed galaxy makes this a symbol of the Universe, not just on our Earth.

Now that you have a better idea of the definitions of Vesica Piscis, we need to explore why we want to utilize this symbol to help us leap into the New World or be prepared to transcend into peace rather than war, peace rather than chaos, peace rather than hatred and all the lower human emotions.

 GETTING STARTED

At the bottom of this article is the layout and other instructions of the Vesica Piscis.

CREATING THE VESICA PISCIS—USING SOME STRING…

Sometimes, people like to make things complex when simple will do. And this is basic and simple and anyone can do it. All you need is a ball of red yarn (or your favorite color). Or, just plain string. I prefer yarn because it is easier to handle and has some weight to it. But, if you’re on a tight budget, some plain old white string from any store will do. You need to cut two sixteen feet (16’) lengths of yarn/string. The reason is that each string is going to make one circle large enough for you to stand within. And you need two strings to make two circles that will overlap one another.

I know you probably think this sounds crazy but before you make a judgment, test it out. Science was built upon trying something and then repeating the experiment. And if you want to prove this doesn’t work, you need to try it to do that.

CREATING TWO INTERLOCKING/OVERLAPPING CIRCLES

I would try this inside a house or structure rather than out in Nature (although if you don’t have enough room inside, go out to your lawn, instead). Take one piece of red yarn and create a circle out of it, making sure the ends are touching and connecting.

Next, take the second string and create a second circle. But this time, make sure that half (or less) of the second circle overlaps the first circle. There should be a ‘fish’ or ‘eye’ that is created as this yarn intersects one another. Congratulations! You have just created the Vesica Piscis symbol!

NEXT:  GROUND YOURSELF:

How to Ground Yourself

TESTING THE VESICA PISCIS

There are some rules to the road in utilizing the Vesica Piscis (VP). First, step into one of the outer circles (either side) of the double circle, but not into the ‘fish’ or ‘eye’ area. When you get into the single circle area, ground yourself (see silver tree roots gently twining around your ankles and the tip of the root going down through each of your feet and several hundred feed down into Mother Earth), close your eyes and bend your knees slightly (we call this ‘soft knees’). Take three deep breaths down into your abdomen and out your mouth. Stand here for a minute or two and see what happens.

Create your double circles which is the Vesica Piscis as described in this handout at the end of this article.  You won’t get the circle exactly circular…just do the best you can and it will still work.

Where ever you decide to meditate make sure your cell phone is OFF and that room is free of

distractions and pets. Let your family know you are going to meditate. Put a “DO NOT DISTURB”  sign outside that door and tell them only to bother you if it’s a life-or-death emergency. If you have a land-line phone in the place where you’re meditating, turn OFF the ringer too.  Take off all jewelry with the exception of your wedding rings. Do not wear an electronic watch (Apple, among others). Take it off your wrist and leave it outside the Vesica Piscis. Leave any metal necklaces or earrings, or rings (with the exception of your wedding ring(s), OUTSIDE the EYE.  If you have to wear a medical device, a medical boot or cast, continue wearing it.

I also recommend you take off your shoes before you meditate or enter the EYE, but do what is

comfortable for you. You can enter with your shoes on your feet if you want. I prefer to be in

my sock feet, but that’s not for everyone. Just make sure the bottoms of your shoes don’t have

mud or other such debris on them. The EYE is a sacred place and you should treat it as such.

To meditate in the eye, make sure you create the circles large enough so that you are able to

either stand, sit or lay down inside the eye. You can sit with your legs crossed, or you can sit with a  small chair within the EYE. If you sit, sit in a chair or lay down, your entire body must be WITHIN the EYE. For those who can’t kneel or sit down, bring in a chair to the eye and sit on it, instead. Again, it’s important that no part of the chair, your feet or arms/elbows are outside of the EYE. You must be completely, fully within the EYE to gain all the possibilities of this energy working with you. Some people get chills when meditating in the EYE. If that is you? Then wear some warmer clothing. Other people get hot and sweaty, so you might wear more summer-like clothing.  Whatever works for you? Do it.

Have a timer that you set outside the EYE for 20 minutes. Why? Because once you get

immersed in the energy contained in the EYE, you can lose all track of time and space. Generally  speaking, I would not recommend meditating longer than 20 minutes when you are first  exposed to the energy of the Vesica Piscis. After you’ve done this for a month or two, and want  to extend the time, then go ahead and do it.

Always have your JOURNAL nearby after you exit the EYE. Take everyone OUT of the EYE (chair, pillow, blankets, etc..) Sit down with your Journal and write out what happened right after the mediation. This is vitally important because as you start utilizing this energy, you are going to see small, subtle changes occur. By writing them down, each meditation is like a ‘bread crumb’  leaving a trail of how the EYE energy is working with you on a mental, emotional, spiritual and/or physical level. After keeping a journal for a month or two, go back over those previous EYE meditations and you will start to see your own, unique pattern of how this ancient energy is working in tandem with you.

Next, open your eyes and step OUT of the single circle. Go to either end of the ‘lens/eye/fish’ and step into it. Close your eyes, soften your knees, take a couple of nice, deep breaths. Then, see what happens.

Many people experience many sensations in the Eye . You can suddenly be pulled forward until you feel like you’re going to tip over your toes and fall. Or, you can feel pulled backward to the point where you think you’re going to fall over. Or, you may feel a strong pull from your left or right shoulder. It may seem that you’re doing what I call, ‘adjusting’ by moving one way or another. This adjustment is about getting your aura or energy field back into balance and harmony. Once that is accomplished in the Eye, you then can experience an incredible amount of things.

Some people see a color or two. Others see a person, sometimes, their Master or spirit guide or a loved one that has passed over. Or, some will hear music, or their hearing will be sharpened and accentuated. Words, sentences or instructions may be given. Other times, places, incarnations or your home planet may be shown to you. No two people will ever have the same experience because they are uniquely different.

What is the point of working in the Eye of the VP? This is a way to access our own integration process, clean out our dirty laundry within us (our wounds/negative emotions, etc.), and heal yourself. When you sit and meditate in the eye, this is one of the most profound experiences you can have.

The VP is about healing. And opening up. Don’t be surprised if your heart chakra flies open and you feel tremendous love pouring down through you. As you are filled up with this love from the Universe, you, in turn, can give to others. It is a win-win situation.

THE VESICA PISCIS SYMBOL — INITIATION ENERGY and a PORTAL

Depending upon what time zone you are in around the world, the energy will be coming to you and available at THAT TIME. So, check the day and time for where you live. When you know that info, then create your double circle and SIT, SIT IN A CHAIR or LIE DOWN in the ‘Eye’ where the circles overlap one another. Make your ‘Eye’ large enough for your entire body to be in it if you’re lying down. If you’re sitting up, cross legged or sitting in a chair in the ‘Eye’ you need less room available.

If you have a meditation technique, then use that. But please, before you do, be sure to

GROUND yourself because this energy streaming from the core of our beautiful white/gold spiral armed galaxy packs a punch and you want to be able to receive what you can from it and ‘ground’ the rest through you, down through your body, into your legs and feet and back into Mother Earth so that she, too, receives the gift from you, as well. Otherwise, if you try to sit the Vesica Piscis without grounding, you will be so dizzy and spaced out for hours afterward it will probably take a good night’s sleep to readjust from the energy that coursed through you.

As such, it is also a doorway or portal between worlds, and symbolizes the intersection between the heaven 4D+  (4th dimension and on) and the material plane 3D (third dimension, our reality). The shape of arches in gothic architecture is based on the Vesica Piscis.

Even our human cells begin to create life with the Vesica Piscis symbol above, and then moves into becoming the Flower of Life symbol!

MARS Retrograde  on September 9 to November 13, 2020 and Jupiter Direct on 9.12.2020

Mars RETROGRADE:  You’re wearing a ball and chain….

by Eileen Nauman

Mars has an orbit of 22 months around the Sun.  Every once in a while, it goes “retrograde” or backwards (seemingly) in motion as it passes Earth, which has a shorter orbit.  This usually happens once every 22 months.  It is going retrograde on   April 17, 2016 through June 29, 2016.

Mars goes retrograde at 8 degrees Sagittarius on April 17th.  It backslides to 23 degrees Scorpio at the time Mars turns DIRECT at that degree on September 9, 2020 at 28 Aries.

The way to explain Mars retrograde is:  most of you have probably ridden in a motor boat. When the engines are in ‘forward’ position, you zoom around, going where you want to go when you want. When you want to ‘reverse engines’ on the boat, you put the throttle in that position. Have you ever watched the surge, boiling, bubbling turbulence of water beneath the engine, at the rear of the boat when it’s put into reverse? That’s ‘retrograde’ motion in action. All turbulence and frothing as water, which is flowing nice and smooth  in forward motion, suddenly has this engine and motor come to a standstill and then stir up the water (aka energy) as it reverses motion!  And you really don’t get anywhere very fast in the boat in reverse motion, do you?  The same holds true of the planetary energy of any planet goes into reverse or retrograde motion, too.  Only Mars, in my opinion, is the WORST.  Very unhappy in retrograde…and so is everyone else directly affected.  Ugh.

Take Mars and Earth in the same analogy: Mars is the speedboat.  Earth is the water in which it floats. As Mars ‘passes’ Earth due to its longer orbit around the Sun, this “turbulence” energetically is created between the two planets for what seems like a LONG time.  And we know Earth is not in ‘reverse’ motion–the concept I’m trying to visually give you is that as Mars passes Earth as it moves around on it’s longer circumference orbit, creates invisible ‘waves’ of energy.  And this ‘energy’ is translated into ‘retrograde motion’ by astrologers.

Another way to state this visually is: You’re on a lake and in a boat.  You zoom past another boat that is anchored and the gal is fishing in one spot. You watch the waves your boat has created by forward motion impact that other boat.  That other boat will bob and move around as the current of the lake  water, set into motion by your speeding boat, strikes it. The waves  pass, and the boat that is anchored, becomes still once more.

Even though we can’t see the energy and turbulence as a planet in orbit affects a slower moving planet in its orbit, the  ‘turbulence’ or energy,  is still the same. Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t  mean it isn’t there and isn’t happening–because it is.

When ANY planet goes retrograde (and they all do sooner or later), the ‘heavier’ or in outer orbit (Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus and Pluto) they are, the more impact they produce in our daily life.  Those with larger, longer orbits about the sun producer deeper impacts into our personal and professional lives.  Those with shorter orbits, such as Mercury and Venus, cause less havoc.  However, Mars stands head and shoulders above all of them for  havoc or changes.  The outer planets of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto create changes on a more global or generational level.  The three that have a lot of personal, deep impact are:  Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.  These are highly personalized and lives can change drastically when they go in retrograde or “direct” motion. And Jupiter will go direct on September 12, 2020  at 17 Capricorn.

Direct motion is a phenomena when Earth, in it’s orbits, passes up the slower moving planet and seems to move ahead of it once again.  So, any planet can go retrograde or direct as we stand on Earth.  They all do.  How and what they impact in our lives is the only other consideration that we are really interested in.

Depending upon what zodiac sign the planet is in when it goes retrograde and direct, is of major interest.  Those people born in that sun sign and it’s opposite sun sign, are more likely to receive the impact and implications of this planet as it goes retrograde (and later, direct).

The planets, Mars through and including Pluto, will have a longer period of retrograde, than Mercury or Venus simply because their orbits are much larger that these two smaller planets found inside Earth’s orbit.  The other planet are outside Earth’s orbit, and therefore, have a longer time to go around the sun to make one complete turn.  For instance, Mars, when it goes retrograde, it is usually for, roughly, two and a half months at a time.  That’s a LONG time!  The outer planets can be retrograde for much longer, again, depending upon their individual orbit.

This time, however, Mars is going to outperform everyone….it entered Aries on June 30, 2020 and remains in that sign until January 6, 2021.  Usually, Mars, when direct, goes through a sign (example:  Mars 0 Aquarius  3.31.2020 through May 13, 2020.  Roughly, staying in a sign 1.5 months.  But not this time!  I can’t imagine Mars in its own home sign of Aries for FIVE  + MONTHS!  But, we’re gonna go through it together….

 WHAT DOES MARS RULE?

In order to ascertain what can happen when Mars goes retrograde, you must first understand what it rules:

  1. The release of energy.
  2. Our metabolism which burns off calories
  3. Our thrust into Life and the world, our eagerness, our energy to go out there and get things done
  4. Being a leader
  5. Making things “happen”
  6. Creating a new chapter in our life (a job change, a move, a birth, a death, a gift, the end of something, the beginning of something by our decision making process).
  7. Impulsiveness
  8. Our courage
  9. Driving force (toward a goal/idea/ideal/vision)
  10. Our self-will (our ability to will ourselves in the direction we see ourselves going
  11. Being adventurous
  12. Being assertive (take charge, take the bull by the horns, getting personally involved in some thing)
  13. Our desire
  14. Out going energy (this is RIGHT sided energy–it is energy, like an arrow shot from a bow, that we send out into our world to make things change or “happen.”)
  15. Being rash (not thinking about consequences before you do it)
  16. Aggression
  17. Warlike nature/violent/combative/raging
  18. Being angry, the ability to express our anger (either positively or negatively)
  19. Inflammation/high, sudden fever/rashes/sudden infection/killer epidemic
  20. Highly sexual; strong libido
  21. Passionate (in an emotional sense) about your goals/ideas/dream and willing to throw yourself into it completely
  22. Struggles within yourself; struggles/fighting with others/war of words or war of actions/resistance–standing one’s ground and fighting for it
  23. Executive ability–you can make decisions; no wavering; it’s cut and dried
  24. Our animal instinctual processes; being in touch with them, our sense of survival and making good decisions that keep us alive or safe
  25. Injury around fire arms, fires, and machinery
  26. Being forceful; pushing, bending, folding and creating your reality through your own desire/will/energy being focused
  27. Our masculine energy (our RIGHT side of ourselves, regardless of our gender).  Being in touch and integrating our masculine energy and using it when we need too (again, regardless of gender).

WHAT DOES MARS GOING RETROGRADE DO TO ALL OF THIS?

Basically, it pulls the plug on ALL of it.  The first thing people experience, especially if the transit of Mars is either conjunct or opposite one of their natal planets in their astrology chart, is a LOSS OF ENERGY.  It’s very real.  You can see this as Mars being the helium-filled balloon and the retrograde as a pin puncturing the balloon.  All the “air” or ‘fire” goes out of the balloon and it deflates and falls listlessly to the earth.  That is how you will feel.  Let’s look at what can happen to our Mars list:

  1. Physical energy is not as available.  Or, your energy is depleted quickly.  You cannot do as much as you did before.  You need to rest or nap more often in between jobs/tasks.
  2. Energy needed to continue working toward your goal/dream/vision are put on “hold.”  Nothing works out for you.  All the “steam” and stream of energy toward making things happen, dissolves mysteriously and quickly.
  3. No matter how hard you try to PUSH, nothing will happen.  It seems like everything is in stasis or is very sluggish or does not respond quickly or as usual to your energy or input that you place into the project.
  4. This is the WORST time to start a new business, to start anything new, a new idea, trying to write a book, trying to pitch a new idea, because it simply will fritter away and deflate like a balloon with a leak in it.  It just will go nowhere.
  5. Where life seemed to be moving in rapid forward motion and things were happening and clicking right along–they won’t now.  They will slow down.  As if in slow motion. But that’s not to say it’s bad–when things slow down, you get to sip more deeply from the well instead of just taking a quick gulp of water and speeding off.  Take the time Mars is giving you and go DEEPER into whatever it is that holds your attention or responsibility.  There is a reason for it and behind it, even if you or I don’t know what it is at the time.
  6. You will not have the “push”, “shove” or “passion” you had before Mars went retrograde.  The volume is turned down–way down.  Your get-up-and-go, got-up-and-went….
  7. Your usual spontaneity is going to go on the back burner and simmer
  8. Your “drive” is going to be cut back.  Your “get-up-and-go” LEFT!
  9. You’ll need more rest than usual
  10. You’ll need more sleep than usual
  11. You will feel like the Hanged Man of the Tarot deck–hung by your feet, suspended in mid-air, dangling there and no way to get down or get out of it.
  12. Your life will go into a kind of cocoon-like stasis.  This is a waiting and developing period–not a pushing, shoving, let’s-build-a-nation kind of time
  13. You’ll feel less inclined to fight, be combative or stand up to aggression.  You may get a more live-and-let-live attitude during this time frame
  14. Sexual drive may wane; don’t worry–it will be back when Mars goes direct.  Consider it a reproductive vacation.
  15. Your energy will be held and contained; not outgoing as before.  I call this ‘paper bag time.’  You feel like you’re in a huge, invisible paper bag and nothing is going on schedule or right for you now.
  16. Projects lag to a crawl.  Things that were supposed to get done, don’t.  This isn’t a good time to take on a new project, either.  It will fail–miserably.  Wait and be patient until Mars turns direct.
  17. Injury around fire arms, fire, and machinery are very likely around the retrograde and direct period
  18. This is a time to switch of Life outside yourself to a large degree and go inward (like a bear goes into hibernation to connect with its powerful dream life) and work on your inner “stuff.”
  19. Consider this period a time of outer, external calm so you can do homework on your inner self.  It’s an excellent time for therapy, for digging out deep, rooted patterns of harmful behavior that you’ve been carrying around like a good friend.  Many aha’s about one’s self are made at this time.
  20. Your instinctual, animal self may not be operating as keenly as before–so think 2 or 3 times before you commit yourself to anything.  REALLY size it up, be patient and wait it out if it doesn’t quite feel right to you.
  21. Your masculine energy is going into hibernation.  This is a good time to switch over to your feminine energy (the touchy, feely, blind-as-a-bat-yet-you-know-where-you’re-going intuition, and use it.  It will keep you out of trouble if you listen to it.  If you’re male; you probably will not, and you will hit a few brick walls as a result before you learn to pay more attention to that little feminine voice inside yourself.  This is good news for all men who are overwhelmed with too much testosterone (which Mars rules) and it means its going on vacation…so, hopefully, less abuse, less aggression, less wars while it is in retrograde motion.  A little peace, we hope.
  22. The outer world, all the demands on you, will ease up to a degree during this period.  That’s good news–it gives you time to catch up on a lot of loose ends (like filing…) that have been sitting around and begging for attention for months–so use this “quiet period” to mop up some messes you’ve been letting go for sometime…..
  23. You are going to be more open and vulnerable to STRESS–so get out of the way of it, take care of yourself, get your down-time, nurture yourself and rest…if you don’t, then….
  24. Your immune system will be lowered during this period.  You cannot take the normal stresses and demands life places on you.  It’s a good time to think about extra Vitamin C  (3,000 mg daily) and pantothenic acid (250 mg a day) to feed your adrenal glands directly so they can juggle the stresses that you’re not coping with as well as you usually do.  Once the Mars retrograde period is over, stop taking the above vitamins.  Your adrenals will go back online at that time without help.
  25. Above all, this is a time of gestation; sort of like a pregnancy.  There is much movement on the deep, inner structure of yourselves at a subconscious level.  There is a reason why you are in “bag-time” and you’re suspended and nothing seems to be working out like you thought or hoped it would.  The internal energies that are now gestating within you need time to form and create the outer physical reality–which will come and introduce itself to you when Mars goes direct.
  26. Most of all, during a Mars retrograde, have patience with yourself and others.  Patience is the key to this period.  If you do that, you’ll kick back, lay in the hammock, watch the clouds scud by in the blue sky and be utilizing this energy properly.

SURVIVING MARS RETROGRADE

It’s pretty easy, really.  You expect that you’re not going to have all that energy you had before and you cut back accordingly.  You also expect that nothing is going to go right in your life–either professionally or personally.  There’s going to be deviations, set backs, changes–and if you remain flexible and in touch with your inner feminine intuition, you’ll get through this period just fine.

It is those who are rigid, controlling, stubborn or just plain stupid, who refuse to change their gait to the drummer’s beat, which is beating a lot more slowly now, that get in real trouble with this retrograde.
